Our story...

Bunny Brawl is the brain-child of Gary Miles and Emily Nash - an attractive looking couple we're sure you'll agree.

It emerged mainly from Gary's lack of desire for a 'proper job'. Emily (who has a semi-proper job in a library), is along for the ride. They're not afraid to admit they are MASSIVE NERDS and love a good card game. Creating games as part of Calm Storm has been their passion for the last 3 years.

With 4 children, a dog, a cat and a reclusive gecko as housemates, their lives are anything but quiet, but they always find time for fun and terrible bunny-related puns.

FAQ's

If your question isn’t answered here, please feel free to email us at info@bunnybrawl.com for clarification. We will update this FAQ with any questions we think should be added.

  • What is a superflip?

In short - a flip force that cannot be stopped :)

  • Can you use Flip Force when a player is replacing a dwarf bunny?

No. The dwarf mechanic is classed as a passive replacement, and Flip Force only works against cards that are actively being played.

  • Do I have to use my bunny’s special ability when it enters the warren?

No, it is entirely optional. But be careful - you cannot activate their abilities during a later turn if they are already in play. Abilities can only be activated at the point the bunny enters the warren (unless otherwise specified).

  • Can I return holes/bunnies/target cards that I don’t want any more back to my hand?

No. Once a card is in the warren, the only way it can be returned to your hand is via a special ability or target card.

  • Can I flip holes if I wanted to change the colour I have in play?

No. Holes already in play are set and can only be flipped using a special ability or target card.

  • Is there a limit to the number of bunnies/holes I can have in my warren?

No! Just make sure you have 1 healthy bunny of each class in order to clinch that win.

  • When I revive a bunny using Lettuce Pray, does it enter my warren damaged?

No. This bunny has been completely revived and enters your warren in a healthy state.

  • Can Dwarf Bunnies/damaged bunnies/Susan fight in a Brawl?

Yes. Any bunny on the field is a contender for a Brawl and is a valid target.

  • What happens if a damaged bunny is damaged again?

It is destroyed and sent to the discard pile. Its hole remains in play.

  • Does having a Susan on the field count towards my win condition?

Yes, as long as she is healthy. Susan takes on the class of whichever hole she is in - if you have 4 Susans on the field, each in a different coloured hole, you have still won the game!

  • What's with the Golden Brawl Card?

If you backed Bunny Brawl on Kickstarter, you will have an extra special golden brawl card not available in the standard game. Here's how it works:

    • The golden brawl card must be played immediately when drawn (this doesn't count as an action for your turn).
    • Once drawn every player (with a bunny in play) is invoved in a brawl.
    • Each player picks a rocket salad as they would with a normal brawl.
    • Only the player who picks the healthy rocket salad card becomes the 'Brawler' and everyone else becomes a brawlee.
    • If every player picks an unhealthy rocket salad, each player must destroy one of their own bunnies (and it's hole).
    • Golden brawls resolve the same way a normal brawl card would; with the brawler choosing a bunny from another player to take for themselves, in a damaged state.
  • What is Kickstarter?

"Thousands of creative projects are funding on Kickstarter at any given moment. Each project is independently created and crafted by the person behind it. The filmmakers, musicians, artists, and designers you see on Kickstarter have complete control and responsibility over their projects. They spend weeks building their project pages, shooting their videos, and brainstorming what rewards to offer backers. When they're ready, creators launch their project and share it with their community.

Every project creator sets their project's funding goal and deadline. If people like the project, they can pledge money to make it happen. If the project succeeds in reaching its funding goal, all backers' credit cards are charged when time expires. If the project falls short, no one is charged. Funding on Kickstarter is all-or-nothing." - Kickstarter Press Room, 2021

  • How to play

The first to assemble a set of all four bunny classes wins! You need a valiant warrior, a tricksy ninja, a wise mage, and a speedy archer in your 'warren' in order to claim a brawling victory. But don't think it's going to be that easy, soldier! There are target cards, the seven dwarf bunnies, and of course the infamous Brawl card to get in your way. Sabotage your opponents and build your army as fast as you can in this 'hare'-raising card game.

Also, there are puns. Did we mention the puns? There are lots of them.

  • What makes Bunny Brawl unique?

The unique feature of our game is the card-flipping mechanic. ALL of our cards are double-sided, which gives an extra level of strategic play to the game - you can always see what card is up next on the draw pile, meaning you can make tactical choices about whether to take a card or leave it for your opponent...

Cards can be flipped using the 'Flip Force' card, used by any player at any given time. You might be trying to heal your bunnies, but one quick flip by an opponent and you'll be destroying them instead!

Our namesake card, Brawl, is an all-out, chaos-inducing free-for-all in which each player sends one of their beloved, adorable bunnies into the carnage of warfare. Win the brawl and you get to steal a bunny from another player! Lose the brawl and you lose your bunny too...
